The Credit Analyst plays a key role in the MFRBL underwriting process, as they are responsible for reviewing financial information for the borrower (the subject property) and the guarantors that support the loan that is being proposed. They then outline any missing information, additional context needed on any financial components, and then draft a loan presentation, jointly with the associated Loan Officer that sourced the loan, that accurately depicts the cash flow of the property and the guarantors, and disclose any credit concerns that might arise. They will also include an independent recommendation (approve or decline) for the proposed loan. A strong analytical mind, and ability to draft meaningful context to the numbers and data being presented, is vital for the role. They will perform a similar process for the entire loan portfolio, as periodic reviews of each loan file is needed.
