Overview

Join our team as a Branch Manager at UW Credit Union! We are growing and looking to continue to build our leadership team. We are currently hiring for our Capitol Square branch location.

 

As a Branch Manager at our Capitol Square location, you'll lead a vibrant, dynamic branch located on the capital square, where foot traffic and diverse membership offer unique opportunities to build strong, meaningful connections. The ideal manager for this branch is creative, innovative, and unafraid to take bold steps to attract and retain business. We’re looking for a leader who thrives on relationship-building and can inspire their team to uncover members' true needs, guiding them toward their financial dreams.

 

The Capitol Square branch serves a varied member base, each bringing diverse backgrounds and financial needs, making it a complex yet rewarding environment that requires an adaptive, strategic approach. Your role will be pivotal not only in driving team performance but also in ensuring the satisfaction and financial well-being of our members through excellent consultative sales and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Guide and support team members through coaching, mentorship, and skill-building opportunities.
  • Lead by example to meet branch and company objectives.
  • Foster an environment that consistently upholds our Branch Service Philosophy standards.
  • Drive balanced scorecard results in line with our Members for Life Sales and Service Philosophy.
  • Adapt effectively to evolving organizational priorities, reallocating resources as needed for optimal results.
  • Participate in project work aligning with business initiatives and strategies.
  • Take ownership and exceed expectations to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Promote cultural competence by creating a welcoming environment that prioritizes humanity.
  • Develop and empower a highly engaged staff, as reflected in annual employee engagement surveys.

Qualifications

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • 2+ years of managerial experience in the financial industry
  • 4+ years of additional experience in Financial Services or Retail Sales
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate and develop staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and lead complex operations, encompassing the lending process, member services, and teller operations.
  • Experience leading and managing projects, showcasing strong time management and prioritization skills to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, exceptional ability to influence and build relationships, and adept at creative problem-solving.
  • Capable of embracing and championing change initiatives, with a focus on agility and adaptability to evolving business landscapes.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a focus on consultative sales coaching and development, aiming to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
