The Mortgage Lending Systems Coordinator is the initial point of contract for staff for mortgage system applications questions and support related to daily origination, processing, underwriting and closing systems related applications. This position trouble shoots system glitches, error messages and various other systems, users, or vendor issues related to the mortgage lending process.
This position must effectively carry out the essential duties of this position in a manner that consistently demonstrates the core values of the organization in a positive manner.
1) First Line Mortgage Systems Support - 60%
a. Serve as central information source via telephone or email for all mortgage employee system issues.
b. Respond to mortgage-related software information or application questions quickly and accurately.
c. Exercise appropriate judgment in prioritizing requests for assistance
d. Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve software issues, working with Mortgage Lending System Administrator and vendors to assist, if needed.
e. Support the operational implementation of new products, systems, and procedures within the Mortgage Lending Division.
f. Develop, implement and evaluate policies, systems, processes and procedures to make daily operations more efficient.
g. Document technical processes and workflows in department procedure manual.
h. Maintain basic knowledge of all business productivity applications (i.e., Encompass programs, Fannie Mae programs, InterAct, MISER, and other vendor website for service or integration within systems) in order to determine nature and source of problem, analyzing, troubleshooting and solving issues, routing calls or reporting problems to appropriate internal staff or vendor as needed.
2) Technical and System Administration Updates - 30% a. Assist in the research, analysis, development and implementation of first mortgage lending process improvements, new products and services.
b. Make parameter/configuration/setting changes within applications/systems.
c. Monitor information from vendors regarding functionality enhancements and releases.
d. Assist the implementation of vendor releases including testing and communication.
e. Assist with activation and deactivation of applicable employees within each Mortgage Lending System
3) Perform Other Systems/Duties as Required - 10%
a. Develop and maintain appropriate vendor and support relationships.
b. Assist in representing division in UWCU-wide training
c. Participate in meetings, projects or other duties as directed
d. Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
-Associates Degree in business or related field required
-2-3 years mortgage experience
-Experience working with loan origination and core systems required

-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to explain complex regulations and system processes.
